Custom Heatsink Fan Duct Mod (DQ6-TTBT)  - Part 2
By Greig Mackenzie

Pictorial guide on a 'revamped' custom Heatsink Fan Duct modification for Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 & ThermalTake Big Typhoon. Commentary to be inserted later.

(See also, Part 1: E6400 Core 2 Duo, Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6, ThermalTake Big Typhoon - Lap, Fit, Mod. Including Crazy-Cool
Part 2: Custom DQ6/TTBT Heatsink Fan Duct Mod)

Concept

Direct outside ambient air directly to the HSF of the Big Typhoon and force air-flow through the DQ6's radiators and northbridge heatsink.

NOTE: This is the second prototype and probably the final product for me as I am very happy with the results. Additional photos and commentary to be inserted later. This is another sneak peek for the moment.

As I write, my E6400 is running 63% over-clocked (2.13Ghz @ 3.46Ghz, 1.38v [1.425v], FSB 433, Mem 1:1 4-4-4-12, 2.13v [+0.3v]) running 2 instances of Folding@Home with both CPU cores @ 100%.
Ambient: 22°C
MB: 31°C
CPU: 31°C  (fluctuates between 26°C-36°C)
CPU Core #1/#2: 44°C/46°C
(Temperatures and voltages courtesy of Everest v3.01.715)

Excellent for 'air' if you ask me ;-)
